25 years ago, on January 24 1984, The first Macintosh was introduced to the world during the annual shareholders meeting. Two days before during the Superbowl the famous commercial "1984" was aired for the first and last official time. The commercial had made so much impact that it was shown on major news - TV stations, the free exposure and buzz became a unplanned school-case of viral marketing.
Besides this lesson in buzz, the Macintosh computer changed forever the way we look at and work with computers. And set the bar so high for the competition, that they still running behind and catching their breath without ever attaining the high level.

Il y a 25 ans, le 24 janvier 1984, le premier ordinateur Macintosh a été présenté pendant la réunion des actionnaires. Deux jours avant à l'occasion de Superbowl la publicité "1984" a frappé l'écran des millions de foyers américains. C'était la première et dernière diffusion officielle, mais l'impact été tellement grand que les grands chaines de télévision ont rediffusé, la pub plusieurs fois et ont fait de la pub "1984" un exemple classic d'un campagne publicitaire virale.
A part de ce leçon en viral-marketing le Macintosh nous a fait changer la façon dont on voit et travaille avec des ordinateurs personnels. Macintosh a mis la barre tellement haut que la concurrence n'arrive toujours pas vraiment à atteindre le niveau.

Last Minute Christmas Gifts with a Social Twist
The former posts were about where to find Christmas gifts that satisfy the materialist in you and the receiver. This time it's for those who want to give gifts that do something more than ending in a landfill, an original gift for somebody who has already so much or for those who want to do some good while giving.
Some material gifts with a social twist: (you won't have these before Christmas when ordered from France! But you can always make a sort of gift certificate to ease the waiting.)

Faces of Millions
Voilà une idée créative qui demande la participation de vraiment beaucoup de personnes (crowd sourcing). Le but est de créer un mosaïque photo de 10x10 m constitué de 1 million photos. Il y a déjà 24536 photos collectées et il reste 975.464 photos à faire. Pour participer vous pouvez aller sur Facebook où ce trouve le groupe: "Please donate your photo for "Faces of Millions" project" ou sur le site web Faces of Millions.
