Parisian Christmas Markets

The markets, with their iconic clusters of wood chalets offering custom holiday treats like mulled wine, gingerbread, sausages and specialties from various regions of France, are an essential part of celebrating Christmas in Paris.

The largest one being the Champs Elysées, extending from the Rond Point to the Place de la Concorde,with 170 chalets.

One of the busiest markets in the city is actually three fairs rolled into one grand event.The "Village de Noel", which is a Christmas Village, opens for the entire month. The first fair sees the square transformed into an artist's showcase, where 60artists gather to display their work and sell their goods. Art works are produced from a range of materials, including wood, glass and textiles.

Les cadeaux de Noël / Chistmas gifts I

Voici un vidéo du site Recycle Now avec des astuces comment emballer vos cadeaux d'une manière originale. A la japonaise avec du tissu. Les morceaux de tissu sont bien évidemment recyclable en sac de shopping par exemple. Ce qui évite des éternelles sacs en plastic. Donc vous faites un cadeau à notre planète aussi!
Au pied du Sacré Coeur se trouve toujours le magasin Marché St Pierre et si les magasins autours dans des petites rues ne sont pas transformé en Fast-Food vous pouvez dénicher des jolis tissus.
