Vintage Clothes and Shoes - Private Sale in Paris

Your closet is full of clothes and shoes but you still think it's not enough and they are all "old stuff".

Well, we are all the same and that's why I know you will like it:
A private sale is organized all along the month of September, in Paris.

Les Composantes take care of this event.

It's basically vintage clothes and shoes.
The entrance is free.
Make sure you bring cash and cheques because that's the only currency they will take.

Have fun!

Le 66 Champs Elysees - New store in Paris

Le 66 Champs Elysees is a 1200m² multi-brand store on four platforms at number 66 of the Champs Elysees, containing a wide range of labels for men and women, along with the very latest accessories.
It opened on September 2007.

Particular attention is given to service and advice to the customer.
On the ground floor, the store hosts OFR, an international bookshop for art books and magazines that can not be found anywher else.
The basement is for fashion. A monumental wave cuts across 15 meters of the area. It swells up to reveal a narrowly-targeted selection of clothing that is renewed every two weeks.
An adjustable system of large untreated chipboard boxes and metal racks means that the shop can easily change its layout.

La Petite Robe Noire of course!

Some very cool sneakers

On our recent trip to Paris, we discovered that there was more than Nikes, Adidas and Reeboks.
Walking into Aimecube in the 1st Arrondisement, we were immediately drawn to a row of beautifully bright-colored sneakers embellished with iconic graphics.
But these were no big, padded sport shoes, these were the most simple narrow leather shoes we had ever laid our eyes on.
In colors including yellow, teal, and burgundy, and covered with fresh graphics of everything from sunglasses to screwdrivers, the shoes strike a perfect balance between classic Keds-like style and funky flare.
Prices are in the range of €200, but outside of Aimecube we don't have any info on where you can get your hands on a pair. If you know, please share your infos:)

A rent-a-husband service in Paris stores

Male models wearing nothing but red underpants try on clothes for you. Stylists guide you to hide-away boutiques. Shop assistants whiz around giant department stores to find your perfect outfit.
Shoppers in Paris who are too busy, weary or undecided to run after the latest fashion trends are receiving the help of a row of fashion workers advising them how to spend it.
French menswear shop Celio is offering a "rent-a-husband" service for women whose male friends are too lazy to shop.
Male models in different heights, weights and shapes, clad in nothing but underwear, are offering to try on clothes for females instead of their shopping-averse husbands.
"It was a bit of a crazy idea," said Romain Martin, the founder of the Shoppenboys service, but he added that the half-naked models had helped spark sales at Celio shops.
"When people see the boys in their underwear, they want to make them try something on," he said, adding that some 2,000 men had applied to become such husband-replacement models since the service was launched last year. (from Reuters)
