Blog of the Week: Paris 2e

Eccentric and a bit quirky on the top, just the way we like the blogs about Paris. Giving us the unique inside and views we wouldn't have if we always look trough our own glasses. Art student in Paris originally from Luxembourg (the country north of France not the gardens as Cedric says himself)
Paris 2 is a refreshing source for fashion, artistic and urban issues. Should be on every Parisian's and would-be-Parisian's reading list.

Blog of the week : green republic

Happy Green Shopping
There are still too many organic and ecologically correct products that are packed and presented without any touch of style. Luckily that's not the case at Green Republic. Where you can get organic products for beauty, well being, home, baby and for the Holiday season they have 10 gift boxes with different themes. You can make more than one happy with these cuties under the tree.

Blog of the Week: Entendu à Paris

www.entenduaparis.info

Overheard sound bites, witness what Parisians said to eachother. Maybe you won't always learn the correct French your teacher would approve of but you'll learn to appreciate the French humor as a bonus.

Blog of the Week: Luis in Paris

Finally some "inside" information about Paris night life sort of "Inside Parisian clubs, so you don't have to be" kind of blog.
I'm happy for it, so i don't have to do it and can entirely concentrate my efforts in what i do best: finding the cheapest beer places in town!
But Luis in Paris is also giving us his views on food, restaurants, recipes, shopping and culture.

Blog of the Week: 350

"Because the world needs to know"

Not a real blog and not specially about Paris, but they do have the Eiffel Tower in the video clip, and they do have an important message.

Over at 350.org they believe that we can all do something about global warming. And that the number 350 is the red line and the most important number of the planet. We should all do something to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to 350 parts per million.

get active!
" Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate" - unknown-

Blog of the week: Lostpedia

Our Blog of the Week got kind of lost itself, so why not bring it back with a blog or wiki about "Lost". For millions of people a favorite TV show, and the Lostpedia could be your guide. It looks and feels like Wikipedia and it even comes in several languages (French is here) and is packed with everything you always wanted and need to know about Lost.

Blog of the Week: Paris Connected

This week I stumbled over a very nice blog, not by Nokia but by Eliane, a Paris born film teacher, who wants to connect people to Paris with her English blog Paris Connected with lots and lots of pictures. You don't have to take her word for it, you can see what she's talking about. The blog has a refreshingly authentic and personal feel and it covers a lot of subjects: architecture, culture, food, wine etc.

Blog of the week: shoetube

It's not only, as the name suggest, a youtube kind of site for shoe lovers, but more a portal or dare i say a platform for shoes with attitude. Shoetube features own videos "daily shoe", and user-generated videos, there are blogs about shoes and forums. You can shop for shoes and donate shoes. Very funny and worth visiting even for those who don't care much about shoes. You can get information and tips about latest trends and how to combine the shoe with your outfit. So you can prepare your next shoe-shopping trip without the blisters!

Blog of the Week: Gay Paris

This week we have more than one Blog of the Week

The first one Paris-gay.com a French-English website which looks complete and easy to navigate. With a guide-index covering everything you need to know about Gay Paris . From food to fashion over flower shops, to restaurants, bars and clubs.
And they have a Blog which comes also in English:

The second one is Parisgaivillage.com a.k.a.
LGBT Tourist Bureau
Every Saturday From 6pm to 8pm in Gay & Lesbian Center (CGL).
63, rue Beaubourg 75003 Paris.
M° : Arts & Metiers / Rambuteau
Phone : 33 1 43 57 21 47.

This is a great site and great service in 4 languages.... the official or not so officials involved in tourism can take an example from them.
You can meet them there to get tourist information and they even organise tours or an Individual welcoming service :

"Members of Paris Gay Village can offer you an individual welcoming service to make you discover the Paris they love and answer all your questions about the gay and lesbians life.

You will be welcomed by a member of the association in the Blue Book Paris Bookshop. He will offer you a welcoming information kit, help you to understand the town, give you tips to organize your stay (best hours to visit museums or gay venues). He will give you a LGBT planning and, of course, answer all you questions.

The welcoming service lasts around 1 hour "
Please visit the website where you will find an email contact address.

Another noteworthy site from le Marais: Paris Marais with a special section on gay life in Paris

The Paris Gay Pride will be this year on Saturday June 28.

Blog of the Week: Style and the City

Style and the City

(fashion is for sheep, whereas style gives personality !)

Great slogan, and concept: a mix of fashion, media and ideas with a very personal touch. Some entrees come in English too.

If you want your blog to be considered for "Blog of the Week", drop us mail and if you meet the jury's high standards, you'll be here next week!
